Tha Tha Tha That's All, Freaks...

The Dan & Scott Show is no more, but we'll always have the memories and Gary's lawsuits.
This is something I am not looking forward to writing. But we have always been honest with you, so here goes...
Scott and I have decided to stop production on the show. This is due to many reasons, the crappy economy being one of them. Since eYada folded, we have been trying to work deals with many, many networks. We had a meeting with HBO for a TV series. We just couldn't do the show they wanted. They wanted a sanitized clean version of the show. We didn't.
We have been talking with XM and Sirius, the two satellite radio services. We had a deal on the table from Sirius, but it was for a clean version of the show. Also, our friend and big supporter Bob Meyrowitz offered us a chance for a nationally syndicated morning radio show. Bob's big plan was for us to take on Howard. That would have been a wild ride.
Ultimately though, Scott and I decided to stop doing the shows. So that is where we are now.
Basically, we're looking at our lives kind of like "works in progress."
Scott is actually going to take some college classes. Stalking 101, How to kidnap a pop princess, and Stalking 110. Seriously though, he's looking for jobs in audio production (radio, recording studios, etc) - and someday his goal of hosting a nationally syndicated hard rock/metal show just might happen. I'm sure he'll do great in anything that he pursues. Amy is going after her movie dream. She is already cast as extras in two movies: A new Sandra Bullock / Hugh Grant movie called "Two Weeks Notice" (She is all decked out in formal wear for some scenes shot in Lincoln Center) and she's also in a new Sigourney Weaver movie called "The Guys." (About 9-11. You can see her during the airport scene and the funeral scene.) She wants to start small and work her way up to eventually one day appearing with The Rock in "Scorpion King 14."
Lance is currently writing a gossip column for "Boys' Life" magazine.
As for me, well, I had gastric bypass surgery back in October of last year and I have almost lost 100 pounds. In order to make some cash during the down period, I developed a radio show about surgical weight loss, and I think I'll continue doing that.
At this point, The Dan & Scott Show is dead. But it will certainly never be forgotten by Scott and myself, and most importantly, you, the Freak Army. At least that is our hope anyway. That's not to say one day we won't break out the Satan machine and fire up the David Heisel sound bites. Who knows, maybe some day we'll be back.
You guys have made it an absolute dream come true for us to do the show. You let us into your life, and we hope we gave you a few laughs along the way. We'll keep the site up for a bit. And, if we ever decide to bring the show back, we'll email you all and let you know and also post the details on the website.
Thank you for listening for the past six years. You guys are Phreaks - never forget it.
This has been The Dan & Scott Show.
So long everybody.
Dan
P.S. I really hated writing this letter. I don't know if you guys will ever know how much you mean to us. And I don't know of any way to put it in words.
